Registration Procedure

Candidate can register for Foundation Course by filling Online Registration Form available on ICAI website (www.icai.org)

=>Under Students Services click Self Service Portal.

Candidates may register in Foundation Course after passing Class 10th Examination conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India or an examination recognized by the Central Government or the State Government as equivalent thereto.

  • Required Fees has to be paid Online during registration

On completion of the registration process, the study material will be sent to the candidates.

Eligibility to Foundation Examination

1. Candidate shall be admitted to Foundation Examination, if

  • He / She is registered on or before 1st February for June Foundation Examination, And

  • on or before 1st August for December Foundation Examination.

  • BUT
    Before appearing in the Foundation Examination, canditates should also have appeared in Class 12th Examination.

Registration Fees

Fee for Foundation Course is Rs.9,000/- Valid for four years starting from the first eligible attempt.

Requirements for Passing Foundation Examination

A student is declared to have passed the Foundation examination, if he/she obtains at one sitting a minimum of 40% marks in each paper and a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate of all the papers.

Papers
4 papers in Foundation Course are as follows

  • Paper 1: Accounting (100 marks – Descriptive)
  • Paper 2: Business Laws (100 marks – Descriptive)
  • Paper 3: Quantitative Aptitude (100 marks – Objective negative marking applicable)
  • Paper 4: Business Economics (100 marks – Objective negative marking applicable)
